And we're back with a reader favorite, Wedding Dress of the Week! I decided to post a creation by one of my favorite bridal designers, Ines di Santo. "Bloom" is an off white silk tulle mermaid gown, featuring three demensional silk flowers and swarovski crystals throughout the skirt, and a sweetheart neckline. It is both romantic and old Hollywood glam!

It is with great pleasure that I feature this opulent mermaid sheath by Pnina Tornai. The satin gown is strapless with a flattering rouched bodice, and dropped waiste that extends into tiers of extravagant ruffles. Ahhh, I've found a new favorite bridal designer this week and I couldn't wait to share his work with you! His name: Justin Alexander. His game: designing stunning, one-of-a-kind bridal gowns with just a touch of drama. I chose this particular over coat and gown because it's really a fall/winter piece, and as April is just around the corner, I needed to show it ASAP. Nevertheless, it's very regal and romantic, especially this Silk Dupion Coat with chapel length train and extravagant silk flower and Ostrich feather detachable collar and cuffs. Justin Alexander doesn't mind stirring up a bit of drama, inciting some emotion in every one who lays eyes on the bride, but if you take a look at his collection you'll discover a craftsman who never over does it. Underneath the dress is a simple and elegant matching strapless Silk Dupion dress with bias-band layered bodice. It's that magical time again... Wedding Dress of the Week! 'Sofia' from Melissa Sweet's 2008 Collection is a silk shantung strapless column gown with ruched bodice and harem-hemmed overskirt. It's available in Diamond White and Ivory. Now this construction of wedding dress was very popular in the nineties, but every once in a while it still appears on the bridal fashion runways. I've always been a fan of this design and I imagine that when I walk down the isle it will be in a similar dress. It combines the sexiness of the sheath, with the modest a-line silhouette. It marries chic simplicity with high wedding drama. The bonus, this cut is a great way for a woman with fuller hips or the "pear shape" to pull of a sheath.

Also: Check out the scrunched shear gloves the model is wearing. It's the future of bridal fashion. Fabolah. Love the look!

Light as a willow-of-a-wisp and rich in glimmering detail, this a-line ball gown from Monique Lhuillier's Fall 2008 Collection is for the young bride who always believed in Fairy Tales, and has finally found her prince. Sidebar, while I detest the model's hair on the runway, this dress would be gorgeous with a slick low bun or chignon and a vintage inspired pearl and diamond earring (or rhinestone).

I was so impressed by Romona Keveza "Legends" Fall 2008 collection that I had to feature one of the gowns. This sweetheart neck line mermaid dress with lace overlay on the bodice and a generous tulle cloud at the bottom is in my opinion, the center piece . This dress exemplifies the modern bride; it is sleek, glamorous, romantic, body conscious and fashion forward. The black bow around the waiste adds a touch of vintage whimsy, demonstrates the bride's individuality, and the sprinkling of black details is an emerging trend on bridal runways. I think this dress would be perfect with a silver, grey, black, or red bridesmaid ensemble.

By the Vineyard Collection, this Silk Taffeta ballgown is the "All American" wedding dress. "Sophia" is for the woman who feels just as beautiful in tennis shoes, a pony tail, and a dab of nude lip gloss as she would be in a couture gown. She believes in casual elegance. A beauty that is quiet, and without fuss. The ruched waste and deep v-neck is simple and flattering to many body types. The fabric is crisp and beautiful without the bells and whistles of beading or lace, and there are pockets! How cool! It moves with ease and requires minimal jewelry and make up. I see this dress in a Spring Garden or stirring in the wind on Martha's Vineyard. It is moderately priced between 1500 and 3000.

Admittedly I was looking for a dress that was decidely wintry in design, as this is the last week in February, but when I stumbled upon this master piece by Ines de Santo, I knew it had to be features. For the bride that wants to pay homage to her hour glass, this is the dress. The sculpted structure is impeccable and the tiering on the bottom half is a unique design element. This is a memorable dress suitable for any time of the year. Perhaps in winter it can be worn with a white fur stoal! This dress is moderately priced between $1500 and $3000.

This week I decided to post this Monique Lhuillier, Estee/Josephine, design because it seems like the perfect dress for a Valentines Day Wedding. The a-line and lace detail exudes timelse romance and the pink sash adds the perfect flirtatious touch. Cupid's so jealous.

By our favorite African-American bridal designer, Amsale, a corded Alençon lace sheath with scalloped V-neckline, and sweep train. From her blue label collection. I love how simple and romantic it is. This dress does a fine job of accomodating the bride who wants to be alluring and body conscious yet traditional.
